Cambodia is one of those countries that require a visa. However, if you are lucky, you can get a Cambodia evisa, which is an electronic version of the document you get at the embassy. It will automatically be linked to your passport, but you still need to print out a copy.
What do you need?
The fact that you can get a visa online is a considerable improvement. However, that does not mean you do not need to provide a few documents. Even so, you do not need much. For one, you need a valid passport. In case you do not have one, you can get passport photos online, and take it from there. Other than that, you need a digital photo of yourself and a means of payment. As for the latter, you can use a credit/debit card or a Paypal account.
The application form
Once you gathered all the documents above, you can move on to the application form. It is easy to complete, and you should be done with it in 20 minutes. It is broken down into three simple steps. Step one will ask you to fill in your general information such as name, address, passport info, and so on. You also need to select a processing time at this point.
Step two consists of a simple revision and payment. Make sure that the information you provide is accurate. It can lead to trouble otherwise. Last but not least, step three will require you to fill in a personal questionnaire and upload additional documents (they differ depending on the case.) Once you are done with all of that, you just hit submit and wait for your visa to arrive via email in PDF format.
Processing time and fees
The cost of your Cambodia visa is determined by the processing time you select. You have three excellent options, and you can choose one according to how fast you need your visa or how much money you are willing to spend on a visa. Here is what you can choose from.
Standard processing time - this is the cheapest option, but even so, your visa will arrive within four business days. For that, you will be charged $60.
Rush processing time - this time, the waiting period goes down to two business days. The fee for this option goes up, though. You will be charged $90.
Super Rush processing time - this option is the fastest you have at hand. It is ideal for those cases in which you forget to get your visa. Your application will be processed within 24 hours. As for the price, you have to pay a total of $120.
All in all, the process is relatively simple. It beats going to the Cambodian embassy, it is cheap and highly efficient. It cannot get any better than that.
