Kamchatkas nature is very sensitive to all kinds of inference and needs a special protection.

Specially protected lands of the Kamchatskay Oblast cover more than 27 % of its territory. Here created 2 state preserves: the Kronotsky and the Commandorsky; 5 natural parks: Nalychevo, Yuzhno-Kamchatsky, Bystrinsky, Klyuchevskoy, Golubiye Ozera; 1 federal wildlife refuge; 105 natural monuments; 2 recreation zones; prohibited zones.
